Hon. Ablakwa Questions Government's Motives Behind Border Closure.

Honorable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the parliamentary candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has raised concerns about the government's decision to close the land borders. He questioned the rationale behind this move, especially since the Electoral Commission's process is already underway .

Ablakwa pointed out the apparent contradiction in the government's actions, asking why they would close the borders if they truly believe in the Electoral Commission's process. He argued that this decision is merely a ploy to prevent innocent Ghanaian citizens from exercising their right to vote, particularly in areas considered strongholds of the NDC .

The closure of the borders, according to Ablakwa, is a thinly veiled attempt to disenfranchise certain groups of people. He emphasized that the decision will not change the outcome of the election, as Ghanaians have already made up their minds.

Ablakwa's concerns highlight the ongoing debates and tensions surrounding the election. As a member of the opposition party, he has been vocal about various issues, including the government's handling of the election process.

In his capacity as a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee and the Ranking Member, Ablakwa has consistently demonstrated his commitment to promoting transparency and accountability in governance.
