"Honorable Samuel Akudzeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament for North Tongu, submitted his nomination form as parliamentary candidate at the Electoral Commission office in Bator on September 10th, 2024.
He expressed his gratitude to the people of North Tongu for their support and pledged to work tirelessly to ensure that all victims of the Akosombo dam spillage receive full compensation.
Honorable Ablakwa announced a GHC 100,000 Emergency Rent Support Fund for the victims of the Akosombo dam spillage, many of whom are still living in tents.
He also promised to complete the abandoned projects started by the previous NDC government, including the Juapong to Abutia road and the Aviyime Sege road, which are featured in the NDC manifesto.
He assured the people of North Tongu that H.E. John Dramani Mahama and Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang will never neglect the Volta region, and expressed confidence that the constituency will give them 94% of the vote in this year's election."
