The premature passing of a first-year female student has caused pain for the Aburi Girls Senior High School in the Eastern Region.

The tragic incident happened on Monday, February 5, 2024, when the student passed away from excruciating stomach pains.
It is reported that the student complained of these pains and that the school nurse allegedly refused to treat her, accusing her of lying about being ill several times. Sadly, by the time the student was taken to the hospital, it was already too late, and she had already passed away.
The body of the deceased student has been taken to the Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital, where an autopsy will be performed to ascertain the cause of death.
The deceased student's relatives, who are reportedly resident abroad, have been notified of the tragic situation and have traveled to Ghana to deal with it.
In the meantime, the circumstances surrounding the student's premature death are being aggressively investigated by the local police in coordination with the administration of the school.
