Policeman shoots nightclub waitress dead; 3 injured after being asked to pay bill

The Nakuru County Police Command in Kenya has opened an investigation into the shooting death of a waitress in a nightclub by an officer.

After requesting payment, a Kenyan policeman kills a nightclub waitress dead and injures three others.

According to Citizen Digital, the officer, Nicholas Musau, of the Nakuru Central Police Station, fatally shot Ann Maina at Vega Club on Wednesday, December 12, at around two in the morning.

Three other people were injured during the brawl and are currently seeking medical care at Nakuru Level 5 Hospital.

In the police report, it is stated that Musau got into an argument with the waitress because she wanted to pay him KSh 16,000 for the drinks he had taken.

In the course of the altercation, Musau pulled out his revolver, killing Ann Maina and wounding three more people before running away from the scene. Two males and two women make up the four victims, according to the police.

"The officer and the bartenders at the restaurant got into a fight over who was supposed to pay for the beers he had drunk. This turned into a fight, in which the police report said that the bartender, Ann Maina, was fatally injured by the officer.

At the Kaptebwa Police Station, the implicated officer was taken into custody. During the arrest, six spent cartridges, two rounds of 9mm ammo, and a Jericho pistol with serial number KP 41311933 were found.

"A Jericho pistol with two 9mm rounds of ammo and the serial number KP 41311933 has been found. The aforementioned police officer has been taken into custody. Six expended cartridges were also found," the police report stated.
