A group of three cousins who are suspected of being gun traffickers from Ghana have been apprehended by authorities in New York, USA. Should they be proven guilty of the various crimes brought against them, each of them might spend 25 years in prison.

The New York Police Department's "Operation Amazon Pipeline" undercover operation was necessary to uncover the purportedly unlawful activities concerning the selling of firearms on Queens, New York, streets.

The suspects, identified as 30-year-old Murtala Haruna of Cincinnati, 27-year-old Abdul Haruna of the Bronx, and 32-year-old Ahmed Mutalib of Georgia, are presently being held by law enforcement officials as they conduct additional investigation and prepare for trial.

The illicit firearms, which included ghost guns, automatic rifle guns, and pistols, were allegedly hidden by the suspects in Amazon shipments so as to hide their operations.

During the special operation, an NYPD officer disguised himself and built a rapport with the gang members. It is stated that the gang members' unlawful actions were discovered because the police purchased firearms from them.

During a press briefing, NYPD officers presented 96 firearms that they had taken from the gang and stated that they were still looking into the development.
