Today is a special day that embodies the spirit of unity and generosity that binds us together as a community.

I am truly honored to stand before you, not only as the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Indonesia but also as someone who shares the same roots with you, hailing from the soil of 1 Volta Region, and as a former musician known as Togbe Afrika with the album Danye sidzima Danye Danye sidzima nuka mawor ne ma da akpe ene.. We gather here today in Mepe, one of the communities deeply affected by the unfortunate Akosombo Dam spillage.

The past months have been difficult for our brothers and sisters who have lost homes, livelihoods, and, in some cases, their loved ones. The challenges they have faced are immeasurable, and it is our moral duty to extend a helping hand in their time of need. As a representative of the Republic of Indonesia, a country known for its diverse culture and rich heritage, I believe that it is crucial for us to come together and show solidarity.

The ties between our two nations may be separated by thousands of miles, but the bond of compassion and support transcends

geographical boundaries. Today, I stand here with a sincere commitment to make a difference in the lives of those affected by the Akosombo Dam spillage. I am pleased to announce that we are donating Indonesian products and other assorted items to aid the victims of this unfortunate incident. These products are a symbol of our friendship and solidarity, and they include essential items such as food, clothing, detergents, and more.

But our support doesn't end with this donation. We are committed to working with local organizations, authorities, and communities to provide ongoing assistance, rebuilding, and rehabilitation. Together, we will help the people of Mepe and other affected areas regain their strength and rebuild their lives.
